The World Bank has indicated that bank will fund for implementation of Road Safety measures. Government in G.O. Ms. No. 90/HF2/ dated 7.5.2003 has approved inter departmental coordination involving departments of Highways, Transport and Police. The Road Safety Audit Pvt. Ltd., Australia is the successful consultant under Fixed Budget Selection (FBS). The value of service is Rs.73.40 lakhs and the period of service is 16 months. The consultancy services agreement has been signed on March 1, 2004. The Consultancy services has been concluded and Road Safety Policy and Action Plan reports submitted by the Consultant are being finalised.
