Special Revenue staff headed by District Revenue Officer at Chennai and assisted by six Tahsildars in 11 Districts are functioning in the project area. District Revenue Officer monitors the land acquisition with the assistance of Deputy Collector. The extent of land required for the project is 629 Hectares including Government lands. 

Administrative sanction of Government in G.O. Ms. No. 59 HN1  dated: 16.03.2001 for Rs. 49.50 crores for land acquisition has been received.   Land Acquisition is being done by direct negotiation with land owners by the District Negotiation Committee headed by the Collector.
