Phase IA:
Environmental Clearance has been
obtained on 18.9.2000.
Environmental Cell:
An
environment cell has been established with Government sanction in G.O.
Ms. No. 114 Highways (HN1) dated 13.07.2001. It comprises one
Superintending Engineer, one, out sourced environment specialist who has
been appointed in August 2002 and one Assistant Conservator of Forest.
This cell is in-charge of the environmental issues prior to and during
project construction.
Independent Review of EMP and RAP:
A
consultant has been fixed for independent review of EMP and RAP
document of the principal consultant, conforming to World Bank
requirements. The services costing Rs. 31.92 lakhs has been completed. The final report has been
disclosed to public.
