In the case of supervision of
works of the TNRSP, consultants have
authority to supervise as an independent 'ENGINEER'.
He is the competent authority delegated with powers
by the employer to supervise the implementation part of
the project on day to day basis, approve sub letting of
contracts, issue of variation orders, the extension of
time and fixing of rates, all with prior approval of
employer and conduct site meeting, approve the contractor's
programme, enforce quality assurance measures, review the
progress of work and implement the project to
specifications and contract requirement with no extra
cost and time overrun.
